I just got an estimate to pull my mast, cut off the corrosion and replace with a new step plate and replace all of the standing rigging and inspect the chainplates. Yard says repairs will not exceed $4,500.00. Sound about right to y'all ?

Can't comment on the price, but the only way they can really inspect the chainplates is to remove them as the backside that lays along the bulkhead or structure often corrodes or a crack can occur, and cannot be seen until it is removed, cleaned and inspected.

Please let us know how much you end up paying for it. My mast and step are fine, but I plan to replace the standing rig soon and would love to know how much to budget for it. Also I would be interested to see if the quote was for swagged or Norseman or...?
Randy,The cost to replace the standing rigging back in 2009 was about 1500.00 most was purchased at Rigging Only with swage fittings.They are good people to work with and got my order right the first try.I did send them half the old rigging for patterns.Mast step replacement if you do it yourself less than a hundred dollars plus pulling the main mast.Chain plates labor intense not a bad job the cost here is replacement parts and fasteners.If you do it yourself you can save some money,the real advantage is the knollage you gain and the job done rite.

Thanks all. In retrospect, I think I'll do it myself. No reason not to. It's just the time issue thing (work gets in the way) and having to pay for the boat to be on the hard and a slip fee at the same time. I bet I can do it all for about $2,500ish. I just replaces all standing rigging on my 367 with Hi-Mod fittings, cost 1900$. Those mechanical fittings are great, and I was able to do it all without pulling the mast.
Why do you need to be on the hard? All of it can be done in the water. Use the mizzen staysail halyard for a temporary forestay on the mizzen if you have a ketch. Pull the main stick and go back to your slip. The mast step bolts to the hull. Cut the mast and make or have made a new step. Bolt it in and go back to the yard for the stick. The rigging can be replaced in your slip, or in the yard while the mast is down. The only extra storage you would pay is for the yard to store the mast while the step is fabricated. The chainplates can be pulled one at a time in the water. Use halyards for temporary mast support.
I do most things like this myself. I lifted our mizzen a foot off the step in our slip by myself not once, but 3 times trying to get a radar cable down it. It finally went, but it didn't go willingly.
