Title: Gate Valves Under Galley Sink
Post by: CaptCG on August 11, 2012, 07:13:28 PM
Hello All,
I am new to the Pearson 365 and have spent a few weeks learning the boat and systems. A question: The 3 gate valves mounted below the galley on the port side looking aft - are those for turning on/off the water from the 3 water tanks?  Pretty sure I know, just checking.  Should I leave them all on, or...?  Seems if I leave them on it would take longer to pressurize each time I use water.
Thanks,
Carl

They are coming from the three tanks, and going to the pump. Won't affect your pressure as the pump is pulling water through them.

Depending on situation, I usually have port & starboard valves open and hold the bow tank for reserve...

Lately, I have more stuff stored on starboard side, so I use that tank first, then port side.
