Title: Propane Locker
Post by: ishmael on July 29, 2012, 08:10:09 PM
I have noticed from all the earlier posts that our propane lockers are all a bit different.  Mine is the kind with the molded in holders for horizontal tanks.  Try as I might I can't find how these are installed.  It looks almost as if the molded in part holding the tanks are an integral part of the deck around the cockpit.  I can find no nut or bolts that would suggest it is mounted to the deck in some way.  So, I'm turning to the experts here.  I have a crushing need for more lazzerette space and want to access the stern area under the propane locker.  It requires converting to vertical propane tanks and moving them up on the stern pulpit but so be it.  I just can't seem to see how to remove the existing tank holder without resorting to a saws-all.  Anybody been down this road?

Get the saw out. Your locker is glassed in.
