Title: beckson ports
Post by: ishmael on May 29, 2012, 11:55:35 AM
I am finally installing new ports.  In preparation for painting I have removed the opening ports.  All four opening ports came out without breaking.  They are old, somewhat scratched up, and dirty but are free to a new home with just shipping.  Let me know if anyone wants them.  Otherwise off to the landfill.

Hey Ron

I would like one just for parts in case something breaks.  If someone wants all four let them go.  I just hate to see them go to the landfill.  Also I am in Pensacola, I am hoping to have the time to go to Panama City, maybe we could meet up if you want to sail around Apalach.
Best email for me is billwismar@metalbendersgallery.com check it all the time.

My opening ports are of two different types, are these glass in aluminum, or plexi in plastic?

These are the 5x12 plexi original 4 forward port and starboard opening ports.  My four sternward ports are fixed and not opening - yet.

Bill,  Dropped you and e-mail as well but here is the skinny.  We are on the hard in Carrabelle just east of Appalach.  Doing a few major projects.  Fixed a bunch of blisters and completed a bottom job, pulled the shaft and installed a dripless seal.  Rolled and tipped the topsides.  Now prepping the deck for repainting and new non-skid.  Plus a host of other smaller projects 'while she's out of the water'.  Expensive phrase.  Happy to hand you one of the old ports if you want to come by and take a look.  Three are identical and must be original equipment.  One is a bit newer and must have been a replacement at one time because the color and fitting is different.
