Title: The DP-1000 Diesel Fuel Filter Adapter
Post by: Randy on May 14, 2012, 08:54:44 AM
Has anybody put one of these on their Perkins/Westerbeake 4-108/107? Looks like it would make things a lot easier. You can then use a spin on filter and dont have to bleed the beast's fuel system !!!!

Cheers

I've looked at this a few times but never pulled the trigger.  I'd be interested in your experience if you decide to install one.

I installed one of these and have been very happy.  You'll need to fashion a bracket to raise it up about two inches so you can get the short filter on to it.  I replaced my fuel lines and added a simple electric fuel pump to make bleeding the engine easier.  You'll still need bleed the fuel system, but it is significantly easier.  If you want a picture of the installation, let me know,
