I was making new chain plate covers and discovered something I had't seen before. The chain plates for the lowers are 3/8" and have 4 bolts while the one for the uppers are 1/4" with only 3 bolts. Are other 367sthat way? Seems odd given the relative loads.

I bought standard SS covers from Shaftner.  The slots can be opened up if need be by driving them over a piece of chain plate stock with a drift. They are all 4 hole covers.

All six shroud chain plates on my 367 are 1/4" thick with 4 holes. I don't think they are original because there is a scum line right next to these, were previous chain plates used to be.
